Just to prove I really did run the Palma de Mallorca Marathon!

Thankyou to all my beloved family, Alisha's family & my friends who donated to my event; your hard earned money has gone to such a worthy cause & with the new vaccine you may have saved another students life! I did not let you all down as I am DELIGHTED that I came in under 4 hours like I wanted to given the 26 degrees temperature & I had a horrendous stitch from 7 1/2 miles for the rest of the race! 🙆🏻 We are out in Mallorca with 19 Wigan women 'Julie's Joggers' some of whom were doing the 10k. Others who are out for a "piss up" (their words)! They were AMAZING! We gave some of them a shout out when we saw them twice in the 10k. Then they supported us at 3 different points! What a group of lovely Wigan women! 👍🏻 It really spurred me on as the last point was around 25 miles. Oh & to add we did longer than the distance as both my wife's & my watches said 26.6 miles! 😳

This is the vest with the photo of Alisha and I on the back which means Alisha can literally "kick my ar**!" if I flag on the day!!! I have now done two 22 mile runs and will do my 3rd tomorrow; which is 4 weeks away from the marathon; so I am very happy with my training plan xXx

The marathon training is going well! My last long run was 22 miles! On Alisha's birthday I picked up my Meningitis Now running vest with a photo of us on the back. It is from my wedding (on 11th Sep 2014) so the last time we were together. So, she will be with me on the day spurring me on! In reality she would say I was mad to do a marathon!
